Goodreads Doesn't Have It, Data Migration: Lessons from the Edge (Yavonovitch)

Truly excellent book. Her career is heartbreaking. Zelenskyy is elected president to become less corrupt. First thing, Trump phones up Zelenskyy and slanders and poisons him against this woman he's jealous of because he can't cerebrally compete with her. Says nothing of any real intelligence or merit, just that's "she's bad news". Like a challenged parrot Zelenskyy just buys it. Yep. Bad news. Basically like a kid begging his dad to go to his piano concert with his inauguration. Next thing you know because he literally doesn't get money, aid, sudden about-face. That is the picture of corruption to have a sudden about face because you didn't get some money. I mean, I understand, we need aid and that Trump effed around with that shows how challenged he is with all this. But still. This guy is immediately bad-mouthing someone with no evidence, nothing to back it up, and you really don't think he's not going to be doing that to you in a second later. And a second later, that's exactly what he's doing. Then screwing Zelenskyy trying to turn it into a starving dog to sick em on Biden. And when he says no, going to punish Ukraine. He did the exact same thing to him in a turn. That's the first thing people tell you. If they can't be that nasty to someone without evidence, without any backing, just sheer jealousy slandering them, they're doing it to you. But nope. Somehow he's the exception. And then he wasn't. It's like the national defunding going on across the US. "Oh, it won't happen to Veteran Affairs, I know I'm safe at veteran affairs." Immediately happens to veteran affairs. Oh now they're going to get up and protest when their skin is on the line. I just can't. That kind of thing is not how corruption gets ended any time soon. And they just let her career be killed by this random comment where she doesn't serve "at the pleasure of the president" because she can't believe Trump takes the side of a corrupt prosecutor saying he's fair and a nice guy, and doesn't believe her. And then that same corrupt prosecutor later shifts on him like Zelenskyy and is a huge force for getting him impeached. I think she was the only one that was really anti-corruption the whole time. She did fantastic work. It is insane to see the hot-headed shifty nutjobs she had to work with just turning on each other over nothing. It's like mass borderline disorder or something. She is amazing. She deserved better. If it were people like her in presidencies, our infrastructure wouldn't be getting flushed down the toilet with our political quality and logical quality going out first. Corruption isn't just a headache and nightmare to hear about the insanity daily politically. Slowly but surely it infests infrastructure, you have more crashed planes, way shorter lives, flunking schools, dead infants, you name it. Anti-corruption is not a joke. It's not just political insanity. If broken logic is behind the political insanity that makes each day a nightmare in 2024, it is the same broken logic building bridges, fixing planes. Before long they're falling out of the sky and your elderly parent is dying in their 60s instead of their 80s, 90s, or 100s. It's not a joke.
