Goodreads Doesn't Have It, Data Migration: One Day Everyone Will Have Been Against This

The title makes a strong claim that the rest of the book doesn't necessarily deliver on. Really trying to say different kinds of self-mutilation are "privileged" compared to others. Really trying to make the phrase "cut off your nose to spite your face" about privilege according to whether or not the person can control it or decides to do. I can't do that. Not ok. Self-harm is self-harm, don't make it a narcissistic contest. Address the particularities in private in a medical perspective. Narcissistic logic about self-mutilation. I just can't with that. There were some good points, for instance that people who write books sometimes don't even make back their advances and that one of the writers thanked their food banks. Then saying anti-Palestine people sometimes swarm and invade these book clubs just so a book of Palestine doesn't become popular. I saw that myself where someone put a book called "James" where this book was while I was watching. Just obnoxious and pathetic. That pretty much ensures I'll never read that book for being that obnoxious and pathetic. Overall, the book started out good but it didn't deliver on what the title promised. Some really twisted moments like suffering through a checkpoint or something like that was about "love". No. That's torture. Torture is not about love. Riddled with self-harm. A lot of the prose was self-congratulatory. I don't see someone like that really supporting other people in their work. There were a lot of narcissistic logic moments. I was really hoping for something with a vision for Palestine but it ended up being mainly self-congratulatory. "I don't care about craft, your people are dying." I just can't. Clearly the whole book is trying to prove itself in terms of craft. I'm just exhausted. It wasn't what I expected. Great title, it didn't deliver on it. Way more self-congratulatory and narcissistic than many of the Palestine writers I have come to love. Please don't pull the "I don't care about craft, my people are dying" line and then write in the way this was written.
