Goodreads Doesn't Have It, Data Migration: Satan's Diary

Faustian and insane in all the best ways, without a second of trying, just a natural hypercreative. I actually found it back searching the images on the Reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks, which lead me to a Ukrainian artist who was behind the infamous Dostoyevsky portrait. The chain of the social circle led to Andreyev's portrait, linking the Cossacks and Dostoyevsky through the visual arts. It is well known that the year Russia suffered its narcissistic collapse into revolution, Ukraine founded its first art musuem. In either case, the stories of Dostoyevsky and Andreyev are linked; Dostoyevsky was a torture victim of the tsarist regime that collapsed that very year (1917). Andreyev was a force of nature, in the written and visual arts scenes of his day, and everything I admire in artist. I am listening to it on repeat. It's fantastic. I would never want to see the end of this in the world and the attempts to tamp down the artistic potency is just...this is a balm. This is a balm for witnessing all that attempts to tamp it down. Utterly fantastic and can't get enough of this author. Though not a direct resident, certainly a beneficiary in those roiling circles of creative command; may that black soil reign supreme.
