Goodreads Doesn't Have It, Data Migration: The Truths We Hold

This book is well written but there is an element, just like in I Survived Capitalism (the irony; these financial instruments are everything wrong with capitalism, what a pathetic joke) that stinks of what they talk about in An Ugly Truth of Facebook and social media data being mined as financial instruments and people’s Facebook data packaged as financial derivatives and sold on a market through a combination of being deeply uncreative in finding ways to fund your company and just thinking of the most rapey thing to do possible, and repressed sexual autism unable to understand their actions belie a very basic and embarrassing motive. That, while clearly showing all the signs they consider themselves clean of it and of an order of legitimacy higher than it while it is obvious to the rest of us who don’t have such issues. One year before the 2019 publication of this book, Germany via pressure from similarly repressed and in denial financial management hiding behind more ideological leadership in aggressive narcissism demanded a more financially refined echo through Wolfgang Schaube at which point they were pressuring China to open its markets for all the most misidentified and somewhat embarrassing, when fully refined, reasons. Ironically, in repeat sources, these markets tended to be nothing but cheap instances sold high of ripping off Western content and publishing it, matching the derivative/hacking impulse’s energy and thus echoing it as demanded with none of the substantive content to back either set of money. Nancy Pelosi even mentions this example of light speed and pathetic imitation to the point a movie was on the streets of China the same day it debuted in New York. These derivatives are not just financial derivatives but literal derivatives as well and though they cannot survive without what they bank upon, Deutsche (which also funds Trump by the way) banks upon both successes and failures of the same item, and if in a fit of repressed envy, or narcissism too strong they bank on its failure a little bit more, trying to profit in either direction and even eroding their own legitimacy to do so. Ironically, Merkel was a victim of this financial structuring itself, fueled ironically by incoming misogynist ideology stemming from clashes with the Muslim community that it made ā€œfinancial senseā€ to let in because they would do other people’s labor without needing a voice and were good for elderly care. Obviously anything Christian lost the battle of who could be the most misogynist and financially rapacious to refugee women. This included but was not limited to a Eurocentric need to assume there was no merit in some Muslim practices and therefore not speaking directly with the victims/beneficiaries at a turn, ironically the very women they hoped to protect were chauvinized solely on the nature of their race, doubly ironically in many cases by women whose race somehow inherently gendered them more masculine as well due to increased social identification. Due to their status of refugee they were viewed as voiceless victims in need of representation, while people similarly failed inside the country who simply hadn’t moved somehow weren’t, and though failed, still bore the credit of national identity.

In either case where this book stinks of such illegal derivatives, especially data that has been deleted with the company—the definition of illegal to still be found in possession of that and still mining it —and then hiding under medical or other narratives meant to delegitimate the victims with an embarassing obviousness stemming from this repressed drives out of communication with themselves– it does not help that the publication of this book coincided with the repeat attempts to engineer an emergency to help back Libra as people came together during an emergency (but only on Facebook) as published in several Indian newspapers. Again, this was 2019.

There are only a few things I can point to as legitimately Kamala and not bubbling over with the scent of social media data and investigations bought and sold.

The housing deal was legitimately her. Her ability to go hardball during a time where people stood to be dehoused was impressive and necessary. It is being unhoused that leads to exponential exacerbation of the very powers that believe they have no connection to the general stability of things, deeply out of communication with themselves. That said, upfront costs for more stable areas cannot be ignored and a weak sanction is the result of such a policy that does in fact ignore this critical feature. Not being a coward and not being in denial, able to take on the hardest cases of human trafficking, rape, and other realities. But she should have followed up with the victims and kept them stable. Not knowing what happened to the woman whose case she won for seems like serious comprehension issues; the point is it goes to restabilize the victim, ironically she seemed to understand that in point 1.

For these two features, which are legitimately her, I commend her. The ability to be hardball, to speak directly to people without speaking for them and to pass on their message without taking little bits and pieces from them without showing them the respect they demand in a way that shows a bratty entitlement and rapaciousness, and to face the truth about some of the most horrific cases is a feature of true strength. Being original, following up on the victims, citing and paying your sources are her weaknesses, and they are average and pathetic weaknesses that I find it hard to forgive in someone who craves a position of such power. That is not sustainable whatsoever and will lead to collapse. That that even has to be said is a really bad sign.
