PUT THE SCIENCE ON NPD FIRST!

Zero Narcissists is a community where people raised, managed, or put into financial, physiological or psychological distress can get SAFE support. Due to a moderator on RBN managing to sneak past detection while being a narcissist, we use scientific research to identify narcissists and keep this sub free of them. We read research on narcissists and scientifically analyze narcissistic behavior. We prioritize the victim and will not tolerate their further abuse. Rules

1. No narcissists.

This is not the place to advocate for narcissists. Narcissists are human but not welcome here. We encourage narcissists trying to minimize their symptoms to get help for their denial. Real damage is done. Narcissists looking for support or insight, please go to r/NPD

2. No misogynists. All misogynists are male privileging narcissists, and can be female.

3. No n-kid posts.

Children rely on parents to guide and take care of them. They are not doing things wrong being kids. Parents have money and power. They cannot abuse this by blaming their child, who is not an adult, nor do they have money and power.

4. No n-employee posts.

Managers have more money and power than their employees. Employees often feel too scared to speak up about the truth of their managers. This is a place for employees to speak up against gross mismanagement and to heal without having to hear anything from those managers.

5. No "blocking is abusive" posts for blocking in regards to voluntary association.

People are allowed to not want to talk to you. Outside of required duties, people can block. Abusive blocking is when people wait for a conversational hot point to block to establish power and control from an abuser's position. They create psychological damage to establish their dominance, then try to reestablish the connection. This is different from someone who blocks and may unblock but does not try to reestablish the connection. Though there may be all sorts of reasons for this, such as an extra need to be in control due to being a previous r*pe victim, abusive blocking in general is not okay and is different from what blocking is meant for which is treating the block button seriously and like a permanent block. If someone blocks under the understanding they will unblock, they are being an abuser. Though there may be deeper reasons behind this, they need to get help for them. When I refer to blocking on here I mean blocking that is permanent and protective where the block button is not used unless it is meant to be permanent, and soft blocking as non-responsiveness is also considered abusive blocking meant to initiate a cycle of power and control and honeymooon periods.

6. No use of "narcissism" to witchhunt when there is no scientific basis of congruence with the narcissistic diagnosis. We are not in the medieval era.

Provide evidence for your claim this is a narcissistic behavior. No witchhunting to silence. You must cite a scientific article, specify the action that is narcissistic, and prove that it is related to narcissism.

7. No "passing" obsession.

Any sort of enjoyment of passing as a narcissist and then trying to silence anyone you don't pass with because it's too fun to pass will be grounds for immediate removal. No "duping delight" as a narcissist pretending to be an empath, nor "duping delight" as an empath pretending to be a narcissist.

8. No passive destructive bystanders/betrayal of victim.

If you see someone being attacked/silenced by a narcissist, speak up and speak loud and clearly. Do not let it happen without a) showing that this is narcissism with scientific evidence and b) telling the person to cut it out and reporting it. ,

9. No boundary weakening/negotiation about narcissism.

No means no. Do not try to weaken people's boundaries against narcissism or negotiate about narcissism. If you want something other than a zero tolerance zone, go elsewhere. This is for victims of SERIOUS narcissistic abuse who need zero tolerance.

10. No silencing when not breaking subreddit rules.

Silencing is what narcissists do most of all. We do not engage in this.

11. No arbitrary and capricious behavior.

No it's not cute. No it's not "freedom". It destroys people's sensemaking. On this subreddit, we always give reasons for stronger actions without feeling we have to explain but doing it for collective sensemaking.

12. No dry runs.

Do not test our boundaries about what you can get away with. No dry runs of seeing how you can warp the rules. If you have questions, ask questions. Don't test it out just to test it out while causing distress for traumatized people in so doing.

13. No gaslighting.

Narcissists hate people that did the work to know things they don't. If someone begins gaslighting about things to keep their position, that comment will be removed.

NPI-16 As a Short Measure of Narcissism

This is our current primary tool for enforcing rule 1.

Due to a mentally disturbed phenomenon based on our previous use of a factorized narcissism measure we are using the Narcissistic Personality Inventory but in a shortened 16 item format. The previous measure led to something that is one of the most mentally disturbed and deeply pathetic things I have ever seen. Multiple instances are coming in from Reddit after I left X and after I left Facebook. I believe it originally started on corrupt Facebook abuse, infamous for its inability to keep backend information secure on purpose. All this action is doing is taking all the pro-Internet arguments about the power and beauty of the internet and showing how instead they are being used for rot, abuse, and power and control. It is a true disservice to and embarrassment of the internet to see what is being done on multiple websites. It will end up being an argument against the internet if it doesn't stop.

Rules 1+5 Logical Proof Req.

Analytical reasoning and openness to correction based in analyticity are meaningful signifiers distinguishing those high in narcissism and those not high in narcissism.

If what a narcissist pronounces (states a-priori, or before the facts, as true, as an assertion of authority without logical or scientific foundation) fails logically, they will throw logic under the bus before they give up the authority over others they crave or stop trying to demand respect for their argument when it isn't deserved due to logical faultiness.

Therefore, on this subreddit, any calling of Rule 1 must use a logical proof structure.

The basic proof structure is

If A, then B.

A occurred here. (Cite/quote user's instance of 'A').

Therefore, B. (Cite/quote scientific article on the causal link between A and B).

If your call of Rules 1 does not fit this structure, your comment will be deleted the first time, then you will be banned the second time for witchhunting.

Narcissism is a Moral Disorder

Narcissism is a moral disorder, not a medical disorder.

Narcissists are not the primary sufferers of their disorder. However, it causes substantial pain and suffering. Therefore, if the main damage is to others, it is primarily a moral, not medical disorder.

Therefore, narcissists are the least likely to get help as they themselves are not the ones in pain, nor do they put together the damage to overall quality of life they create as a function of their untreated/unrecognized/denied narcissism due to comprehension issues (see post on logic).

For this reason, we exclude narcissists on this subreddit because in almost every case with few exceptions they see nothing wrong in the suffering they cause. We do, and victims deserve to heal. We suggest r/NPD for those who are narcissists looking for support or insight in their specific disorder.

We both recognize the humanity of every human, including narcissists, while not being in denial that narcissists have a moral, not medical disorder, and are not safe for victims when they are trying to heal due to the fact they do not see or feel the pain they create primarily. This is not the place for them therefore, and they are not welcome in this healing space.
